Villa 2 Roof Top Residence Ocean View at PoinsettiaApartments, St. Lucia. It is on the same level as Villa #1, the RoofTop Terrace, and also above the pool, offering a view of the ocean, terrace and pool. Villa 2 is the top level 2 bedroom residence. It is accessible via a short private staircase entrance on the poolside.

From the kitchen one looks down over the pool to the Vigie Cove and Ganter’s shallow draft marina at the foot of Poinsettia hill. Large windows in the dining and sitting areas look over the ocean terrace to the Caribbean Sea and Point Seraphine above the deep water harbor, where transatlantic cruise ships like the Ocean Adventurer dock.

The ships are like a city arriving at dawn, with a thousand citizens to trek to volcanoes, to enjoy the spectacular mountain views and lush tropical rainforests across the island. In the evening, the cruise ships leave and with them, the day fades into the tropical sunset and a Caribbean night.

Guests of the PoinsettiaApartment Villas often take to the terrace for wine and cheese to watch the sun setting below the mammy apple tree, before the flash of a Caribbean twilight and the deep dark night alive with a thousand stars. Some linger for BBQs and dinner under the stars. Breakfast at dawn is also a favourite time to take to the rooftop deck and watch the day begin.

Nothing was too much trouble. The apartments are very well presented, clean and tidy. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. It was handy for the harbour and ‘Duty free Shopping,’ with Vigie Beach close by. The Coal Pot Restaurant is nearby and an excellent place to dine, with fine Caribbean cooking.
