The current protocols for the management of COVID-19 have been extended until Saturday, September 10, 2022. During this short extension of the Protocols, the Cabinet of Ministers will deliberate on major changes to the management of COVID-19 in Saint Lucia, based on advice from the COVID-19 Management Centre. It is expected that all aspects of the current management of COVID-19 will be assessed and possibly reviewed.
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of vaccination on arrival and do not require a COVID-19 test. Unvaccinated travelers are required to provide a negative PCR test taken within five days prior to arrival in Saint Lucia. Quarantine requirements have been removed in relation to travelers.
For mass crowd events (two hundred and more persons), all event organizers are required to submit their plans to National Emergency Management Organization NEMO in accordance to the regular mass crowd guidelines.
Presently, home testing for COVID-19 is authorized in Saint Lucia. All restrictions on the importation of rapid antigen test kits have been removed. The rapid antigen test is to be used as a screening tool and would require confirmation with a PCR test. Positive antigen rapid tests are required to be reported to the Epidemiology Unit in the Ministry of Health within 24 hours.
All other protocols will remain in effect for this period.
Saint Lucians are asked to continue following the protocols of wearing a face mask in public places and maintaining general sanitation measures. Let us take personal responsibility and protect ourselves, family, friends, and others from the COVID-19 virus.

Poinsettia Villas closed in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. While St. Lucia re-opened its borders on June 4th, selected air travel for international flights only began on July 9th. The government restricted the small property accommodations to reopen 6 weeks after the first flight based on the success of the first phase re-opening. However, this was a provisional measure that changed several times. September 2020 was designated for the reopening of some tours on the Island however this was also postponed to a later date due to the increase of cases on the Island. Some of the small properties were still awaiting approval from the government to reopen and host visitors on a short-term basis. According to the government, phase two re-opening was scheduled for October 5th, 2020, however, delays occurred once again and many small properties remained hopeful for the approval to re-open. There was no conclusive decision made until March 2021 for Poinsettia Villa Apartments. On the 17th March 2021, the Ministry of Tourism passed Poinsettia Villa Apartments as a Covid certified property however, only for long-term stays. This meant that a guest booking with Poinsettia Villa Apartments needed to book a stay of three weeks to one month or more at the property.
Our operations have returned to the minimum short-term stays, however, we do not accommodate one-night stays, the minimum stay would be 7 nights . We are hosting more long-term stays at this present time. Please send us any questions you may have and requested bookings via our email info@poinsettiavillas.com, Facebook, or Instagram and we will be delighted to answer them and book your long-term stay. Poinsettia Villas is a great place to come home to!
