At the foot of the hill, is the shallow draft marina where you can get a catamaran cruise and be at the Pitons in about 1/2 an hour. There too is the inlet and nesting area for the Egrets which flies off to forage the island at dawn and return at dusk.
For your dining pleasure, several gourmet restaurants are just a few minutes away. The Coal Pot restaurant across the bay is famous for its fine ocean front dining. Here you sit right on the ocean edge, with water lapping at your feet, in a charming old plantation style building filled with art.

Friendship cafe, just up the hill on the other side of Vigie Cove and above the beach, offers excellent value classic cooking in a low key friendly setting.
For fun foods and fresh local juices try the golden apple or passion fruit juices at the beach huts at the the island hopping airport just a few minutes walk down the hill from your Poinsettia Villa.
Salt fish bakes from Agatha are a delicious treat and some of our guests have been seen trotting down the hill for a bake at breakfast.

Beaches and nature are never far away from this central location. From here you can drive to Pigeon Point, Marigot Bay, Soufriere Botanical Gardens and volcano as well as other historic or scenic sites all within an hour.
You may also spend your day relaxing at the pool or at nearby Vigie Beach. It is close to the local island hopping airport and lined with shops and take-out local food like salt fish and bakes along with real local fruit freshly squeezed for your pleasure.

Romance
As the slogan says it is Simple beautiful and there is no denying that!. This tiny Caribbean island is considered one of the most romantic places on earth. Winning the “World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination” award for many years in a row. Yet it has much to offer singles, groups and families. A Windward Caribbean Island
St. Lucia it is in the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St. Vincent, and north of Barbados and St. Vincent. It is 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, and shaped a bit like an egg. Some say it is like an avocado. The beaches of the west coast laze on the calm Caribbean Sea while the east cost faces the Atlantic Ocean.
Getting To St. Lucia
The inter-island flights which were served by the former LIAT airlines are now operated by Inter-Caribbean Airways, One Caribbean Airlines,
Air Caraibes, Caribbean Airlines, and SVG Air. All land at the George F. L. Charles Vigie Airport. Island flights have started to operate daily to other islands in the Caribbean. The airport is 5 minutes drive to Poinsettia Villa Apartments.
St Lucia is well served with flights to the island by major airlines in North America and Europe. International flights land at Hewanorra International Airport. The drive to Poinsettia is approx 1 hour and 15 minutes.
