The bedroom is cozy and warm with bright colours, an en-suite bathroom and large cupboards. It is up a short set of stairs that take you to the highest point at Poinsettia Villas Villa resort. From here you can see the sea, the pool and the open terrace surrounded by trees.

Down the hill and past the airport is Vigie Beach with a wide and long sandy beach and good swimming. The beach has a lively community of licensed food and drink vendors who operate several wooden chattel house style beach huts, where you can buy chicken rotis, home cooked food, fresh fruit juices, Pitons Beer, rum and other drinks.

PoinsettiaApartments sits on top of a small hill right above the shallow draft marina and the picturesque inlet at Ganters Bay. Cuisine

We always recommend the Coal Pot Restaurant to our guests at Poinsettia. The cuisine is very Caribbean with a hint of French and some decidedly French dishes like Mussels Provencal. The catch of the day is always excellent. It comes with your choice of sauces, rice and peas and vegetables very West Indian style.

 

Ambiance

Its a rustic sort of place, rather Bohemian, casual-chic and right on the water. Get a table on the waterfront and you will be just inches away from the shallows on the shore beside your table. The fish dart in and out amongst the pebbles. Notice the art on the walls and the fun Earthware dinner set, along with the old rum factory vats. The art is by Michelle Elliott one of the founders of the restaurant, daughter of avid sailor Bob Elliot an adventurer who sailed across the Atlantic to St. Lucia.

Dine With The Stars

You are in good company here; many stars, prime ministers and princesses have dined at Coal Pot over the years. It is generally full at lunch time with business men and politicians meeting to enjoy the food and scenery over a business lunch. At night the lights shine down into the water so that you can see straight to the pebbles on the bottom and the fish still darting along the shore.

It’s a short drive to get there from your villa at PoinsettiaApartments.com. Just drive down the hill till you come to the Seraphine Road and see the airport runway straight ahead of you. On the left is the Red Cross building. Turn left and drive along the inlet, running along the airport runway: You pass the Ganters Bay inlet, and the Prime Minister’s country home. After that turn left again into the Mango Moon gym and you are at Coal Pot.

The Villa Interiors at Poinsettia

Poinsettia Villas St. Lucia are fully equipped for long term stays for your St. Lucia holidays. The villas and apartments have everything you need for a vacation or long term stay, even an iron and board which are essential if you are living or on business is St. Lucia and handy on holiday for the must-do dinner at the Coal Pot, the Edge or other delightful gourmet restaurants on the island.

The apartments are townhouse and villa style with their own front door and no apartment has elevators and shared corridors. The interiors are furnished with soft colors against coral walls and light ceramic tiles and scattered rugs for the floors. The units are all open, bright and breezy. Many of the villas have a patio and a back or side door.

You can choose from our garden terrace villa (6), the roof top terrace villa (1), the poolside (5), the executive suite (7), the nook (4) and the two apartment residences (2/3). All have a main living area that is integrated in an open plan with a dining kitchen.

There are individual personal washers and dryers in every villa. The kitchens are equipped with microwaves, toasters, stove tops and ovens large enough for families staying permanently and a luxury for island vacations. All apartments have a full fridge, gas stove and oven.

The bedrooms are clean and functional with queen size beds. All master bedrooms have own bathrooms en-suite. A second bathroom is also available in the two bedroom units, located adjacent to the second room. Housekeeping is optional. Most of the furniture is Rattan with soft cushions and cool breezy colors.

Poinsettia gardens are full of mangoes, golden apples, grape fruits, limes, passion fruits, plums and sugar apples which are shared with guest when in season and available. Organic herbs and vegetables are grown for the family and that too is shared depending on availability. When you see fruit in your villa, it was gathered from Poinsettias gardens the very same day and placed in your room or hung on the door for you. This is one of the benefits of being in a family owned and managed resort complex. Attention to detail and your enjoyment is our priority.
